I Got You
A message of support during trying times.
All this time, the one I’ve been needing support from has been me. Standing on my own two feet. It’s been a bitter reckoning at times.
Uncomfortable.
Crude.
Raw.
Having to sit in this pocket over and over again and simmer1 in it. Each time it works at the strings tethered to my heart, as well as the ones that venture throughout my body like the nervous tendrals that they are. Each time it pains me in a metabolic way.
I damn near believe I cannot stand it. That I need to find something, anything beyond myself to latch onto for steadiness. But then this silent whisper slips through to inform me, “You don’t need to look outside of yourself for a miracle.”
I don’t need to look outside of myself for a miracle.
It’s then followed with verses and words that formulate the reminders that higher timelines are possible, silver linings have happened time and again, that I’m not alone. Never alone. And to top it all off, it finishes with yet another sweet and softly spoken message…
“I got you.”
